Jurhee Hong
Organist Jurhee Hong started her music journey at young age starting piano lesson at age six. Soon after her musical interest led her into church choir and received the Organ, Violin lesson.
While she studied organ performance in college, she broadened her musical experience with studies in piano pedagogy, choral conducting. She finished her Performance Diploma and Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Mr. Kent Tritle, Andrew Henderson, McNeil Robinson at Manhattan School of Music with President Award Scholarships.
A native Korean, she hold bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Organ Performance Degree from Ewha Woman's University, Seoul, South Korea.
As an active musician, she has performed extensively as a soloist and accompanist with numerous church music experience in New York City.
Also as a contemporary art enthusiast, she writes about contemporary classical music and arts on her blog in Korean.
Now, she moved to Seattle from New York City
and served as Director of Music in First Covenant Church in Downtown Seattle.
