Introduction
Music Instructor Jurhee Hong started music training at a young age, starting piano lesson at six and Organ and Violin at ten. She started to teach piano/organ from her senior year at high school.
She holds Bachelor of Music from Ewha Woman’s University in South Korea and Master of Music and a Performance Certification from Manhattan School of Music in New York City with various award scholarships.
While she was studying Organ performance, she broadened her experiences studying in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, Choral Conducting, Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
As an active church musician, she has many experience to direct children/adult choirs. She offers Piano, Organ and Voice lesson privately.
Teaching Philosophy
I've been teaching students over 10 years. I believe that every student has own musical potential. Since every student is different, I designed the lessons to the individual students interests and desires.
Basically, lessons are taught with a classical approach. I am focus on technical foundation for students. The good basic technique is the same for every genre of music. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on reading, ear-training and healthy technique are incorporated into each lesson. At the same time, I try to inspire my students to enjoy the moment of making music and get excited about their progress.

Studio Policy
First Trial Lesson
Upon the request, I offer student a trial lesson for two purpose. Firstly, for me to get a sense of how the student learns and responds to music; and to customized curriculum based on their particular needs. The second, student and I get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. This is important for student too.
Tuitions
Tuition rate varies depending on the duration and frequency of lessons. Tuition is billed by either the month or quarter.
Monthly (4 Lessons) tuition,
30 min - $185
45 min - $260
60 min - $330
There will be additional fee for traveling.
Attendance
To cancel a lesson a minimum of 24-hour advance notification is required. Make up lessons will be given on teacher's availability or during the summer. No tuition credit for missed lessons will be given.
